About me
I am a fan of musicals, and movies, especially romantic comedies. I am also a JA (Julie Andrews) fanatic and my favorite movie of all time is The Sound of Music starring none other than the inimitable, talented Dame herself.
I make webpages whenever I feel inspired and have been inspired to tell the world about Cinderella 1957 (and hope they read about it) because I think it's such an extraordinary and phenomenal event - a live movie broadcast. Not many of those have been done. I know they do live performances on Broadway all the time, but it's not exactly the same thing. Besides this starred JA and therefore as a fan I want to see it, but cannot do so without shelling out major bucks for an inferior quality tape that can be found on Ebay. I want the real deal, a remastered DVD/VHS tape from the makers, so I know that it will be a quality product. So I hope my website and petition will achieve that. I will be submitting the results of the survey along with Petition signatures to CBS/Viacom and/or Rodgers and Hammerstein Organization to convince them of fans' interest in the publication of the film.
